Ayrshire hotel group unveils £2million spa makeover

Ayrshire’s leading independent hotel group has announced the opening of a new luxury spa at The Gailes Hotel in the heart of Ayrshire, following an extensive £2million makeover.

SimpsInns, which owns and operates a collection of award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars and leisure activities around Ayrshire, has now opened the doors to the new Si! Spa, which is being billed as Ayrshire’s ‘stylishly seductive’ new spa and wellness destination.

Led by two experienced spa managers and a team of 10 expert therapists and wellness professionals, the new 2000 square metre Si! Spa offers a collection of over 50 personalised treatments, day spa packages and overnight spa breaks making use of nature’s most powerful and effective actives and oils, coupled with the latest, innovative techniques.

Supporting around 250 local jobs, SimpsInns has invested over £2.5m across its portfolio of venues around the Ayrshire Coast during the Covid-19 pandemic to enhance quality and the overall visitor experience, including The Gailes and Si! Bar:Restaurant in Irvine, The Waterside Hotel at West Kilbride, as well as Old Loans Inn near Troon.

Notable treatments developed in-house include the spa’s unique Signature Rituals; Si! Spa Remedy, Enchanted Ritual and Escape to Si! Spa.

All spa treatments of 55 minutes or longer include complimentary access to a stunning Thermal Suite, new outdoor spa deck and hydro pool.

Renowned skincare products used in Si! Spa treatments include Ishga and ESPA. Ishga’s range of innovative products are made using the finest hand-picked seaweed from the Scottish Hebrides, while ESPA’s formulations contain unique combinations of plant extracts, marine actives and essential oils to create the most effective, natural products which protect the long term health and beauty of the skin.

The owners along with the team of designers sourced bespoke pieces for the new restaurant from the UK and European suppliers to bring alive their vision. Situated on the stunning Ayrshire Coast, the interior design carries the coastal theme with marine colour scheme, driftwood and other nautical references.
