Going Back To The Roots
For the past 5 years we've worked with Victor and Carina Contini, taking care of communications for their three Edinburgh restaurants.
Next year will mark the centenary of the move that brought their families to Scotland.
On the eve of that, we travelled to their home village of Picinisco in the mountains south east of Rome to learn more about their story.
We arrived at the time of the grape harvest which is a symbol of the continuing link between Scotland and Italy.
The family I Ciacca wines from fields beside the village are available in the Edinburgh restaurants and the olive oil used comes from groves of trees on the slopes of Picinisco.
In the run up to Brexit, when so much remains uncertain, this link between Italy and Scotland is stronger than ever.
