On September 4th movers and shakers from the food and drink sector all over Scotland will gather in Edinburgh for our annual conference in association with The Scotsman.
Our theme this year is Beyond Brexit: Future-proofing food and drink in Scotland. Speakers ranging from Scotch Whisky Association Chief Executive Karen Betts to Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation CEO Julie Hesketh-Laird will discuss the challenges created by departure from the European Union and the potential opportunities as well.
The Chair of Emily’s Crisps Roz Cuschieri will talk about the growing market for health conscious food and Petra Wetzel from West Beer will outline how Scotland can stand out from the crowd moving forward.
For the first time, the daytime event will also have an evening component in the shape of the 2018 Scotsman Food and Drink Awards. Hosted by Taste Founder Stephen Jardine, the awards will celebrate excellence in restaurants, cafes, bars and kitchens the length and breadth of Scotland.
